Paulo Cezar de Azevedo Junior
Paulo is senior consultant at DNV Maritime Advisory in Høvik, Norway. His work focuses on transaction advisory, due diligence, shipping finance, sustainability and lifecycle management.
He has previously worked as shipyard engineer (Beconal, Brazil), newbuilding superintendent (Hidrovias do Brasil SA), naval architecture lecturer at the Amazonas State University (UEA) and as a shipping researcher at SNF, the independent research institute of the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway.
He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where he obtained his B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the University of São Paulo (2012). Paulo also holds a Master in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas (2017) and a Shipping MBA at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (2019). He is currently working towards finishing his PhD from NHH by the end of 2026.
