Paulo Cezar de Azevedo Junior
Paulo is a PhD candidate at SNF, the Center for Applied Research at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway. His research is focused on shipping finance, with additional interests in low carbon shipping, the energy transition and Latin American maritime business.
He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where he obtained his B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the University of São Paulo (2012). He has professional experience with ship design, shipbuilding and project management, having worked for shipyards and shipping companies based in São Paulo and Manaus, as well as lecturing at the Amazonas State University.
Paulo also holds a Master in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas (2017) and a Shipping MBA at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (2019).
